Many of our festivals celebrate the rich agricultural heritage of the area from antique farm machinery to celebrations of locally grown crops.

• David Thompson I was elected the first member of Parliament for the County of Haldimand in the United Provinces. This led the way for two more generations of Thompson men to be elected to Parliament. The family called Ruthven Park Mansion, located in Cayuga, home.
• In 2008, Caledonia will celebrate its fair -- the 136th Annual!!
