Haldimand County and the surrounding area is Ontario's cottage country south. The warm shores of Lake Erie are home to many cottage goers in the summer season. Most of the cottages in the area are privately owned and available for rental by the weekend, week or longer. Summer rentals can book up early, so reserve early.Tourism Haldimand has compiled the following list of cottages in Haldimand and surrounding area. So how else can you find the perfect summer cottage? Networking with friends is a good starting off point in your search. Ask for ideas and landlord’s names and find out more about the area.
Classified ads are also a good place to find a local cottage for rent. Another excellent way to find a cottage is to take a road trip along lakeshore roads and look for “For Rent” signs. Explore our scenic country roads—they will be a refreshing change from the everyday drive and you just might find your own special place in the sun!
